The Baronet Superb mattress provides a firm sleep surface built around hand-formed honeycomb-nested pocket springs, with horsehair upholstery needle-teased onto hessian and enclosed in a hair-proof cambric cover. Blended and bonded British fleece wool and cotton layers sit above the spring unit, while the border is upholstered in protective wool with a piped ticking finish. Two rows of genuine hand side-stitching reinforce the edges, and hand tufting with felt washers maintains the internal upholstery layers over time. Air vents on all sides aid ventilation throughout the 21cm deep construction, which houses 1,326 individually pocketed 1.52mm wire springs beneath fine Belgian ticking.
