Privacy policy

Personal information you give us voluntarily — when you register, ask for information, or otherwise get in touch. Typically that is a name, an email address and whatever you choose to write to us.

Derivative data our servers record automatically: IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages viewed before and after visiting.

To run accounts and sign-in, to email you about your account, to compile anonymous statistics, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for everything we do with your information, and to tell you what it is.

Trusted service providers who perform work on our behalf — hosting, data analysis, email delivery, customer service and marketing support. They receive only what they need to do that work.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use cookies, web beacons and tracking pixels to customise the site and understand how it is used. Our Cookie Policy sets out each category in detail, and your browser can be set to refuse some or all cookies.

The site links out to retailers, advertisements and external services. Once you follow a link and leave us, anything you provide to that third party is governed by their privacy policy, not this one — including anything you enter at their checkout.

We use administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal information. We have taken reasonable steps, though no security measure is perfect or impenetrable, and we will not claim otherwise.

We do not knowingly collect information from or market to anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold data on someone under 18, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

You have rights over the information we hold about you, and exercising them is free. Email partners@shophomestyles.com and we will respond within one month.

You never have to give a reason, and asking will not affect how we treat you.

We keep your account and the things you have saved for as long as your account is open. Delete your account and we remove them, other than anything we are legally required to retain.

If you have not signed in for three years we will treat the account as dormant, get in touch, and delete it if we do not hear back. Analytics data is anonymised and cannot be traced back to you.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. You can go to them directly; you do not have to come to us first.

We may change this policy at any time. Any update is posted here with a revised effective date, and this page always shows the current version.
