The 35cm straight empire shade features hand-marbled paper, a centuries-old craft where paints and oils are dropped onto thickened water, then raked and stretched into intricate patterns before being transferred onto paper. Each sheet is unique, as no two marbling impressions can ever replicate the same result, giving this shade its distinctly individual character. The bold green and blue roya pattern is achieved across two seams, a construction detail inherent to the smaller surface area of the marbling process. The straight empire silhouette provides a clean, evenly proportioned form compatible with a wide range of lamp bases.
