The 30cm straight empire lamp shade is constructed from hand painted card in a scarlet finish, with each piece displaying its own natural variation in paint texture and line work. The straight empire form offers a balanced proportion suited to mid-sized fittings, while the card body softens and warms the light passing through it. Subtle mottling and brushstroke irregularities across the surface are characteristic of the individual hand painting process.
