The Semi Pendant Light features a distinctive arch-shaped design with an enamelled metal shade that creates diffused, cone-shaped illumination. Its matt black finish provides a bold, contemporary look, while the curved profile ensures optimal light distribution. The metal construction offers durability and the semi-circular form combines both style and function.
The Semi Pendant Light was designed in 1968 by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup for a competition put on by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture. It won first prize and quickly became a best-selling Danish design with worldwide recognition. Its distinctive arch-shape and enamelled metal shade creates a diffused, cone-shaped light, ideal for over a dining table or kitchen work surface.
