The durable yet thin paper provides soft ambient glow while maintaining structural integrity.
Handcrafted from traditional Japanese shoji paper, this beautifully formed pendant is part of the Akari collection of mid-century lighting by Isamu Noguchi. Designed in 1951, the elegant form of this light is created by wrapping durable yet thin rolls of paper around a sculpted wire frame. The use of shoji paper allows light to gently pour through the surface, providing a soft glow to the room.
