The Sintra mugs feature a reactive glazed stoneware construction with an om... bre finish in shades of pink, plum and red, where each piece varies naturally in colour and pattern. Handcrafted in Portugal by a family ceramics business established since 1886, the stoneware is formed from regionally harvested clay worked by hand. The reactive glaze technique layers metal oxides and enamel glazes across two firings, with the final colour determined by firing temperature, baking time and enamel thickness.
