Sintra Set of 2 Mugs - Beige, Reactive Glazed Stoneware

The Sintra mugs feature a reactive glazed stoneware body with an ombre fini... sh in shades of pink, plum and red, with each piece differing in colour and surface detail due to the handcrafted process. Produced in Portugal by a ceramics family with roots dating to 1886, the stoneware is shaped from hand-worked, regionally sourced clay, with glazes formulated from natural raw materials. Metal oxides are applied after an initial firing and then covered with a contrasting enamel glaze, with the final appearance influenced by firing temperature, duration and enamel application. Each mug holds 25cl, is dishwasher and microwave safe, and measures 11.5cm top diameter, 8.5cm base diameter x H9.5cm.
