The 'Human Shapes in Wheelspin' piece by Barbara Kuebel employs a woodcut print technique to study movement in a circle, forming part of a limited edition of five. Austrian artist Barbara Kuebel, based in Alabama, has shown her abstract figurative work extensively throughout Europe and the US, with her practice rooted in themes of awkward social interactions. The woodcut method produces bold, graphic lines that give the figurative composition a strong sense of rhythm and physical energy.
