The framed art print provides compelling visual contrast through stark black pigment on neutral background. Its portrait composition explores psychological themes with artistic depth, while the clean design maintains focus on the central subject. The piece combines contemporary art with thoughtful presentation, and the light brown frame adds understated elegance.
Taken from Lemon's series of framed art prints by South African artist Ronelle Pienaar Jenkin, 'Poking 325' incorporates the themes that are central to the artist's work, namely psychology — our thoughts, behaviour and ways of being in the world. This striking portrait is all the more arresting for the use of stark black pigment on a clean and neutral background — a compelling contrast that only enhances the themes of ridicule, humour, pride, sanctimony, obscenity and irreverence that feature throughout Jenkin's work and this collection.
