The rug combines woven paper yarn construction with an unexpected texture that balances crisp and delicate qualities. Its plant-based material responds well to color treatment while expressing individual character through manipulation. The rectangular form provides versatile placement options, and the inflexible yarn weave adds structural stability.
A new design from textile artist Karin Carlander, the 'Shuttle' rug remains true to its creator's commitment to reinterpreting classic techniques. As such, the small green rectangular rug is woven from paper yarn, an inflexible plant-based material that is receptive to color dye and presents its own personality when manipulated. Here, the yarn expresses an unexpected texture that is both crisp and delicate for a memorable interior accent.
