The chair features a distinctive baroque silhouette with continuous hand-painted multi-coloured dots applied using the pointillism technique. Its rotational-moulded construction uses weatherproof polyethylene that provides durability for both indoor and outdoor environments. The romantic design combines classical aesthetics with modern manufacturing, while the weather-resistant material ensures long-lasting performance in various conditions.
Based on Alessandro Mendini's 'Poltrona di Proust' chair, designed in 1978, Magis' 2011 'Proust' chair is the same designer's contemporary update on the original. The first incarnation of the seat, which is characterised by continuous hand painted multi-coloured dots applied using the pointillism technique, is relived in this industrial rotational-moulded piece, where weatherproof polyethylene is shaped into a romantic, baroque chair that is suited to both indoor and outdoor use.
