The glass top is produced using a sand casting method dating back to the 15th century, in which molten glass is poured into sand-carved moulds and cooled to reveal a surface that is smooth yet textured with wave-like patterns and occasional air bubbles. This process ensures each top carries a subtly unique character. The solid iron base provides stable support, while the separate top slots neatly onto the frame for straightforward assembly.
