The Basalt Single Pendant features a vertical hexagonal form cast in brass using sand casting and lost wax techniques, leaving the surface texture exposed as a deliberate finish detail. The horizontal ends are polished to contrast with the raw vertical panels, while an exposed Tala logo marks the point where molten metal entered the mould during casting. Dimmable LED technology is integrated into the fitting, allowing the light output to be adjusted for different ambient conditions.
Designed to mimic the natural processes that inspired it, Basalt tells the story of its making through the exposed sand cast brass and lost wax cast finishes on the vertical hexagonal panels, while the horizontal ends are polished for a luxury finish. A subtle nod to the making process is captured with an exposed Tala logo, where the molten metal entered the form. Complete with dimmable LED technology, this is an ambient light feature that will create a stunning moment in time in any interior.
