The GP & J Baker Small Ikat Spot empire shade combines a seven-colour printed linen fabric with a straight empire silhouette, drawing on the geometry and colour work characteristic of classic ikat weaving. The print balances subtle tonal layering with bold geometric spotting, while two-colour taping along the edges picks out tones directly from the pattern. The 30cm diameter makes it a compact option with considerable visual detail.
Part of our fantastic collaboration with G P & J Baker, the small Ikat spot is a new design paying homage to the classic Ikat weave but adding the Baker genius for colour and geometry. These are seven colour prints and are subtle and bold in equal measure. Please note the two coloured taping, picking out colours from the pattern.
