The Foglia empire lamp shade features hand-marbled paper crafted through a centuries-old technique, where paints and oils are dropped onto thickened water, then raked and stretched into distinctive patterns. Each sheet is individually laid onto the surface and lifted, ensuring no two shades carry the same design. The marbling process results in bold, layered colour across the yellow and green tones of the Foglia pattern. Due to the surface area involved in this 25cm size, the shade is constructed with two seams.
