Designed by Neri & Hu for Poltrona Frau, the 'Xi' suspension lamp lives up to its name, which roughly translates to 'morning light' in Chinese. Taken from a wider collection of lights that are evocative of sunlight at dawn when switched on, the lamp is defined by two components of blown glass — a ribbed and transparent outer layer, here in a shade of light blue, and a pearlescent inner piece that makes the light warm and diffused. Combined with these two pieces of glass which are handblown by master glassmakers of Venice is a saddle leather strap with dyed tone-on-tone raw-edge seams and branded with the Poltrona Frau logo.
