The AJ Floor Lamp combines geometric design with functional lighting, featuring a tiltable shade that allows adjustment of light distribution to suit different needs. Originally designed by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1957, its angular silhouette reflects the architectural contours characteristic of Jacobsen's broader body of work. The white finish gives the lamp a graphic, defined presence, while the adjustable shade mechanism adds practical versatility. Supplied with a US plug; bulb not included.
Emanating an ultra-modern mood over half a century since its inception, the 'AJ' floor lamp is an iconic statement in lighting design. Created in collaboration with Louis Poulsen, the lamp first appeared in the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1957 as part of a lighting story told throughout the hotel by world-renowned architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. Radiating personality, and recalling the geometric contours of Jacobsen buildings, the white version of this prominent feature light — whose shade can be tilted to adjust light distribution — adds a graphic, forward-focused feel to any space. Supplied with a US plug. The bulb is not included.
