The Classic On Acid Spanish Maiolica Dinner Plate draws on the decorative traditions of Spanish Maiolica pottery, reinterpreting its characteristic motifs through a warped and contorted visual treatment. The porcelain surface carries multicolor patterning where classical forms are deliberately distorted, merging recognisable craft heritage with an unexpected, surreal aesthetic. Part of the Diesel Living and Seletti 'Classic on Acid' series, the plate works alongside other pieces in the collection.
Italian brand Seletti's 'Diesel Living' collection is a celebration of well-known classical porcelain themes from across the world through an 'after party' lens. Here, Spanish Maiolica is honored by way of a porcelain dinner plate where key themes of the pottery style are warped and contorted for an unexpected merger of the crazy and the classical.
