Crafted from enamelled stoneware using a handmade technique originating in 16th-century Asia, each cup is immersed in water directly from the oven, creating thermal-shock cracks and a distinctive metallic colour effect. Because the cracking pattern depends on oven temperature, firing duration, enamel thickness, and application method, every cup is individually unique.
