Dining Chair with Zip Fastening - Black, Leather

The chair provides innovative design with its relationship between steel skeleton and leather skin construction. Its upholstery features 16 pieces of saddle leather, individually crafted through 14 hand procedures. The zip fastening system secures the cowhide to the frame, while the tailored approach ensures precise fit and distinctive appearance.

One of the world’s first free-standing cowhide design chairs, Mario Bellini's 'Cab 412' is informed by the relationship between the skeleton and the skin. As such, the signature piece from Cassina’s 'I Contemporanei' collection features upholstery comprised of 16 pieces of brown saddle leather, individually die-cut and then subjected to a further 14 procedures, all by hand. Once attached to the chair’s steel frame, the skin is secured with a zip fastening, akin to a bespoke tailored garment.
