Dining Chair with Leather Cushion - Walnut

The dining chair combines Japanese-inspired craftsmanship with its unique crisscross base design. Sharp matchstick legs join to a solid walnut frame, while the recessed back bar features curved contours for enhanced comfort. The cushioned soft leather pad provides relaxation during extended seating, and the distinctive base construction ensures both stability and visual appeal.

In approaching this dining chair, Nazanin Kamali was tasked with creating a design that reflected the craftsmanship, proportion and attention to detail found in Japanese creative industries. Crafted from a choice of oak or walnut, this is perhaps most evident in the Oki-Nami's unique crisscross base, which joins sharply cut matchstick legs to solid frame. Another major factor in this design was comfort, with the curves of the recessed back bar and cushioned soft leather pad ensuring a relaxing dining experience whether in a restaurant or at home.
