Dining Chair with Leather Cushion - Oak

The dining chair offers Japanese-inspired design with its distinctive crisscross base construction. Sharp matchstick legs connect to a solid oak frame, featuring a recessed back bar with curved contours for comfort. The cushioned soft leather pad enhances the seating experience, while the unique base design adds both structural integrity and aesthetic interest.

In approaching this dining chair, Nazanin Kamali was tasked with creating a design that reflected the craftsmanship, proportion and attention to detail found in Japanese creative industries. Crafted from a choice of oak or walnut, this is perhaps most evident in the Oki-Nami's unique crisscross base, which joins sharply cut matchstick legs to solid frame. Another major factor in this design was comfort, with the curves of the recessed back bar and cushioned soft leather pad ensuring a relaxing dining experience whether in a restaurant or at home.
