Always trim the wick to 4mm before lighting (the golden rule). No candle wick trimmer? No problem. A nail clipper should also do the trick! 2. Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar before lighting out the candles. This prevents tunnelling and will also allow you to maximise the scent. 3. Never leave a candle burning unattended or near drafts and anything flammable. 4. Stop burning your candle when 10mm of the wax remains. 5. Light out your candle using a snuffer.
