The Earth decorative bowl features a sculptural, layered construction built from papier mâché, giving each piece a distinctive handcrafted quality. Its off-white finish and organic form reflect an artistic approach to functional objects, while the layered papier mâché construction creates subtle surface texture and depth. The bowl is not waterproof due to its material composition, making it suited to dry use such as displaying fruit or holding small trinkets.
Built in layers from papier mâché, Marie Michielssen’s 'Earth' bowl presents a memorable sculptural quality. This off-white piece accompanies the designer's ever-growing collection for Serax, where simple objects take on an artistic form. Due to the nature of the material, the bowl is not waterproof but is easily suited to display or for holding fruit or small trinkets.
