The 'Forest' modular figure set features five individual tree sculptures, each built from a varying number of interlocking beech wood modules. Its graphic, angular shapes contrast with the natural warmth of the wood, while the modular construction allows the pieces to be assembled, disassembled, and reconfigured repeatedly. Crafted locally in Poland, the beech wood provides a sturdy yet tactile quality to each component. The set includes five trees of differing heights and module counts, offering varied composition possibilities.
Gabriela Kawińska's 'Forest' modular figure for 101 Copenhagen consists of five multicolor trees, each with a different number of modules. The task is to connect the modules to build a forest. With cool, graphic shapes that contrast with the warmth of the material, this ultra-modern design nostalgically fuses the idea of digital technology with traditional artisanship. Crafted locally in Poland from beech wood, this playful addition to the home can be remade again and again.
