Amazónia Toucan Decorative Object - Multicolour, Earthenware

The Amazónia Toucan decorative object combines hand-crafted earthenware construction with vivid, nature-inspired detailing drawn from the Amazon rainforest's fauna. Created through a collaboration between historic Portuguese ceramic house Bordallo Pinheiro and Brazilian NGO Ecoarts Amazônia, the piece reflects the region's rich biodiversity through its multicolour finish and sculptural form. Its earthenware composition provides a tactile, weighty presence, while the detailed surface work captures the characteristic markings of the toucan. A portion of proceeds from the collection supports reforestation efforts in Mato Grosso, Brazil.

Historic Portuguese ceramic brand Bordallo Pinheiro has joined forces with Brazilian NGO Ecoarts Amazônia to create the 'Amazónia' collection — a series of earthenware pieces that honor the Amazon rainforest. Taking inspiration from the region's ecosystems, the award winning collection presents pieces like this decorative toucan, a reflection of the Amazon's rich local fauna, traditions, colors, sounds and smells. A portion of the proceeds of the collection will be dedicated to the reforestation of the cities, rural areas and indigenous villages of Mato Grosso, where Ecoarts Amazônia is based.
