The decorative bowl offers unique balance with its tilting design, reminiscent of roly-poly dolls. When nudged, it wobbles and sways before returning to its natural position through gravitational force. The matte rosso levanto marble construction provides substantial weight and durability, while the self-righting mechanism creates an engaging interactive element.
Designed by Lucas Pouly for Marsotto Edizioni, the 'Gravita' bowls are reminiscent of tilting dolls with their play on shape and balance. Like roly-poly dolls, when the bowls are nudged they wobble and sway, and the force of gravity acts on the center of gravity to produce a slight torque. The weightiness of the matte rosso levanto marble used here always causes this small bowl to return to its normal position from which its natural beauty can be observed.
