The Oblate Vase features mouth-blown construction with its low, spherical form balanced on a cylindrical walnut wood base. The clear glass body provides versatility for fresh cut flowers or use as a planter, while the contrast between the rounded glass silhouette and the structured wooden base adds visual interest.
Fusing clear glass with walnut wood and a precise silhouette, LSA International's 'Oblate' vase is a distinctly contemporary piece that may also be used as a planter. Taken from a wider collection mouthblown glass vessels, the item stands out for its low, spherical shape, which is balanced on a cylindrical walnut base for a pleasing contrast of materials and forms.
