Marc Newson Newson Vase - Emerald Green, Murano Glass

The Newson Vase features a sculptural silhouette originally designed by Marc Newson in the 90s, drawing its sinuous curves from the form of the Orgone lounge chair. This updated version translates the organic shape into a paste-coloured transparent Murano glass body, with the curved profile accentuated by the translucent emerald green finish. The handcrafted Murano glass construction gives the vessel a depth of colour and clarity that shifts with light, while retaining the distinctive contours of Newson's original vision.

Designed by Marc Newson in the 90s, the original incarnation of the 'Newson Vase' was produced by Cappellini in ceramic. This updated version of the sculptural vessel takes the same silhouette — inspired by the sinuous form of the 'Orgone' lounge chair, also by Newson — and applies it to a paste-coloured transparent Murano glass body. The result is a spectacular and instantly recognisable piece, where the curved shape of the design is accentuated by a modernised palette, whilst maintaining Newson's vision.
