The Winchcombe 6 drawer chest features a curved bow front inspired by Georgian antique design, constructed from oak hand-finished with stains and glazes to achieve its Dark Oak tone. Six generously sized drawers with soft-close mechanisms provide ample storage, while antiqued metal handles and delicate cornicing complement the traditional woodwork. The timber is sealed with lacquer to protect the oak's natural grain, and as each piece is shaped by the wood's inherent character, no two chests are identical.
Winchcombe is made exclusively for The Cotswold Company, using our signature joinery and finish - you won't find it, or our quality, anywhere else. Offering a gentle nod to traditional design, our capacious Winchcombe low and wide chest of drawers features an elegant, curved bow front and striking Dark Oak grain. Inspired by a Georgian bow-fronted chest spotted at an antiques market, the Winchcombe range features a deep, natural grain, soft-close drawers and generous storage - thanks to its elegantly curved shape - that make every piece a pleasure to live with. It combines antiqued metal handles and delicate cornicing with traditional woodwork for a timeless feel. Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak's natural beauty, the timber is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its Dark Oak tone. It is then sealed with lacquer to protect the oak's subtle, natural grain traces.
