The Paloum egg cups provide a glazed stoneware construction with a reactive enamel finish that produces a speckled, irregular surface on each piece. The technique involves applying metal oxides to the pottery after an initial firing, then sealing them beneath a contrasting enamel glaze to draw out the flecking effect, with firing temperature, baking time, and enamel application all shaping the final appearance. Each egg cup in the set of six is therefore unique in its exact colouring and texture. They are dishwasher and microwave safe, measuring 5.4cm in diameter and 6.8cm in height.
