The pitcher features hand-painted butterflies across its surface with textured ceramic construction. Its raised venation pattern recalls butterfly wings, while the brilliant colors create an exquisite living quality. The graceful design combines decorative naturalism with functional serving capability.
Fashion icon Claudia Schiffer captures the charm of the English countryside in her collection of ceramicware created in collaboration with Bordallo Pinheiro. ‘Cloudy Butterflies’ brings Schiffer’s elegant vision to the decorative naturalism long associated with the Portuguese ceramic brand. In fine detail, brilliant color and fragile motif, hand-painted butterflies are applied across a flight of pieces, which includes this graceful pitcher. Textured ceramic recalls the raised venation of butterfly wings, while the beautifully-observed butterflies themselves take on an exquisite living quality.
