The Kioko serving tray features an intricate chequered hand carving across its maple wood surface, functioning both as a tray and a fully playable chess board. Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Zanat, the piece is crafted with the brand's characteristic attention to joinery and surface detail, with the black stain finish accentuating the carved pattern. The dual-purpose construction adds practical versatility without compromising the integrity of the hand-worked surface.
A marriage of sophistication and fine craftsmanship, Zanat's 'Kioko' tray aptly represents the design philosophy of its producer Zanat, a Bosnian brand committed to creating items of genuine quality of design, materials and craftsmanship. As such, the Jean-Marie Massaud-designed maple wood tray not only features an intricate chequered hand carving that is easy on the eye, it doubles up at a chess board for a duality that encourages spontaneity and offers convenience.
