The Compas Direction Desk by Jean Prouvé combines an oak wood tray with a bent sheet steel and tubular steel base finished in a smooth Japanese red epoxy coating. The contrast between the warm natural oak surface and the industrial steel construction reflects the original 1953 design intent. The tray measures 125 x 60 cm, with an overall height of 73 cm (W125 x D60 x H73 cm).
