The Elkstone Bureau features a solid oak frame finished with a six-part hand-applied stain and clear protective lacquer, drawing out the wood's natural grain and character. Pine drawer boxes sit on traditional wooden runners, providing smooth access while dovetail joints reinforce each drawer for lasting durability. The framework is constructed using mortise and tenon joints, adding structural integrity throughout. Black hardware accents complement the mellow oak tone, and the finish integrates with the broader Elkstone Oak range.
This handsome bureau pairs a beautiful solid oak frame with timeless style. The pine drawer boxes sit on traditional wooden runners for easy access and a classic feel. Hand-applied with a stain and clear lacquer finish to bring out the characterful natural grain, plus smart black handles, this piece pairs seamlessly with our Elkstone Oak range. Just as every antique has its own story to tell, each Cotswold Unique piece is beautifully distinct. Inspired by traditional vintage furniture, the collection blends authentic style with contemporary paint finishes and thoughtful design. Heirlooms of tomorrow, every framework is built using our signature mortise and tenon joints, together with Dovetail joints in the drawers to promise lasting strength for many, many years. Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak's natural beauty, the timber is treated with a careful six-part staining process, then sealed with a clear protective lacquer, enhancing the oak's natural character.
