Unity Stool - Black, Maple Wood

The Unity stool combines seating and side table functionality in a single sculptural form, designed by Monica Förster for Zanat's 2020 'Lockdown Dialogues' project. Its construction features prominent voids carved amongst solid blocks, seamlessly sculpted from black-stained maple wood. The dual-purpose design allows it to function as either a stool or a side table, while the hand-crafted maple construction ensures a durable, refined finish.

Originally designed by Monica Förster for Zanat’s 2020 'Lockdown Dialogues' project, the 'Unity' stool is a multifunctioning object with a timeless elegance. In a portrayal of the inseparable links that connect humanity as a whole — a notion further compounded throughout the Covid-19 pandemic — 'Unity' presents a series of prominent voids amongst solid blocks seamlessly sculpted from black-stained maple wood. The result is an exceptionally crafted item that not only represents an abstract humanistic idea, but can be used as either a stool or side table.
