The Talasa Scalloped Console Table features a hand-carved edge inspired by a wave form, derived from an antique tray design. The mango wood construction is hand-painted in spruce green, with edges brushed back to reveal the natural wood beneath, creating a two-tone finish. Due to the manual painting and carving technique, each piece carries individual characteristics in its surface texture and edge detailing.
Our Talasa Console Table is named after the Greek word for 'sea', in homage to its hand-carved edge that resembles a wave. The scalloped shape was originally applied to a tray which was, in turn, based upon an antique. The mango wood is hand painted a spruce before the edges are brushed to reveal the wood beneath. Due to the manual technique, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.
