Designed by Poul Kjaerholm, the PK80 daybed was inspired by Baehaus, which is influenced by the characteristics of the ancient Roman couches. A sophisticated and iconic design, this daybed has striking appeal and offers ultimate comfort. Available with a limited range of leather types and natural canvas, you can choose and alter this daybed to match or contrast with your decor and aesthetic. The daybed consists of a painted plywood bed plate and a frame made of satin-brushed stainless steel. Such comfortable design allows for this daybed to be a luxury seat or minimalist bench. Such design was recognised for its natural place in furniture history, and history of design, that it was purchased for the galleries of Modern Art in New York in 2004. There have been many attempts to produce daybeds as sophisticated and elegant but nothing compares to the PK80 daybed, the original in its design.
