Cotswold Company Large Sideboard - Smoked Oak

The large sideboard combines generous surface space with two spacious cupboards, drawers, and adjustable shelving for versatile storage and display. Its smoked oak finish is achieved through hand-applied stains and glazes, highlighting the wood's natural grain and knots before being sealed with a protective lacquer. Construction follows traditional woodworking techniques, including mortise and tenon joints and solid drawer runners, while antiqued black hardware and hand-turned feet add refined detailing. The finish varies naturally across pieces, as the timber's grain and character are shaped entirely by the source wood.

Offering ample surface space for decorative items and with beautiful antiqued black hardware, this large sideboard sits perfectly in a hallway or living space. The two spacious cupboards and drawers, coupled with adjustable shelving, allow you to effortlessly organise and display your belongings. Our Elkstone Smoked Oak collection embodies classic oak furniture with a modern country twist. The Smoked Oak finish highlights the wood's natural grain and knots, adding depth and character. Thoughtful details, such as elegant hand-turned feet and gentle grooves beneath the edges, add to its timeless elegance. Crafted using traditional woodworking techniques - including mortise and tenon joints and solid drawer runners - and complemented with black antique hardware, Elkstone is designed for lasting beauty. Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak's natural beauty, the timber is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its Smoked Oak tone. It is then sealed with a lacquer to protect the oak's subtle, natural grain traces.
