A brilliant freestanding alternative to a built-in bookcase, the bottom cupboard framework of our Elkstone large bookcase is crafted from solid oak and includes wooden drawer runners for smooth closure. To further ensure its longevity, we use traditional mortise and tenon joints and strong dovetail joins. Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak's natural beauty, the timber is treated with a careful six-part staining process, then sealed with a clear protective lacquer, enhancing the oak's natural character.
