The Ball Chair combines innovative design with its spherical white fibreglass shell, featuring a cocoon-like seat upholstered in grey Hallingdal fabric. Its enclosed form provides acoustic privacy and comfort, while the swivel mechanism enables smooth rotation. The Hallingdal upholstery offers durability and texture, and the distinctive shell design creates visual impact.
The 'Ball Chair' is iconic as they come. Conceived in 1963, Eero Aarnio's seminal classic continues to awe thanks to its familiar yet wholly innovative design. A breakthrough piece for the Finnish designer, the chair is defined by a spherical white glass fibre shell, within which lies a cocoon-like seat upholstered in grey 'Hallingdal', the first textile from Danish brand Kvadrat, designed by Nanna Ditzel in 1965. The result is a world recognised furniture piece that has graced homes and offices in addition to film sets, music videos and magazine covers.
