Børge Mogensen was an icon of mid-century furniture design, known for bringing 'Danish Modern' to the masses. Favouring simple lines and functionality above all, his creations were inspired by the concept of Byggemøbler (or 'building furniture') ' which says that furniture should respond directly to the user's individual needs.
