Originally designed in 1958, Børge Mogensen's BM0253 Shelving System is now in production for the first time at Carl Hansen & Søn. Mogensen was a pioneering Danish designer who believed in the concept of 'building furniture' ' which says that furniture should adapt over time to the user's individual needs. This shelving system is expandable and customisable, and can be built and rebuilt and suit changing storage needs and room sizes. It has veneered shelves of varying sizes in solid, oiled walnut, and a black powder-coated steel frame.
