Its design juxtaposes strong geometric lines with gentle curves, creating a balance between raw and refined aesthetics. Crafted by skilled artisans from FSC-certified American Red Oak, the natural finish highlights the grain and texture of the wood, which develops character with age.
Inspired by both the 20th-century Brutalist movement and Japanese aesthetics, Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl combine architectural strength and organic warmth in 'Brutus'. This handcrafted solid oak stool for 101 Copenhagen is defined by a juxtaposition of strong lines and gentle curves. The design is both hard and soft, raw and refined. A natural finish pays homage to the beauty of the grain and texture of the wood, which ages beautifully over time. The 'Brutus' stool is crafted by skilled artisans from FSC-certified American Red Oak, and brings a time-honored minimalist feel to living spaces.
