The Matthew Williamson Palmier table lamp features a cylindrical ceramic base adorned with hundreds of hand-applied leaf motifs. Each small leaf element is layered across the surface, creating an ornate, feather-like texture with intricate visual depth. The ceramic construction gives the base a solid, tactile quality while the detailed relief work adds decorative character.
Matthew wanted to make a statement ceramic lamp base which would have impact. We set about making hundreds of tiny leaf like motifs to lay over the cylindrical base. The overall effect is ornate and intricate as the leaves take on a delicate feather-like quality.
