The Matthew Williamson Disco Zebra empire shade features an abstract animal-inspired print with loose, free-flowing stripes in turquoise and blue tones. The 25cm empire frame provides a balanced proportion, while the fluid stripe pattern creates a calming yet visually engaging surface. Its fabric construction allows the colour and movement of the print to shift subtly under light, adding depth to the overall effect.
This print started life as zebra skin with abstract stripes of colour as you can never go wrong with animal print. Over time it became less literal, more loose and free flowing and I love how it turned out in the end. I’ll be sitting a pair of the natural disco zebra shades on cabinets either side of a bed, in a guest bedroom at home as the pattern is at once calming yet they will provide an eye-catching focal point to the room.-Matthew Williamson
