Its tapered form concentrates the graphic pattern across a compact surface, while the hand-blocking process lends each shade a tactile, artisanal quality. The pinky coral finish draws on both pink and orange tones, reinforcing the expressive character of the printed design.
Here at Pooky, we don't just think that Ellen Merchant is one of the great designers of the future, we think she's one of the top textile designers of today. Hell yes. Graphically she's brilliant and also a genius with colour. We are thrilled to be hooking up with her again. All these designs started in her studio with her trusty pen and paper, and then developed into hand carved wooden blocks. The whole process is long and complex, but we are truly thrilled with the results. We hope you agree.
