The straight empire lampshade combines a natural rattan weave that distributes light in two distinct ways — pooling warmly beneath the shade while allowing a softer glow to filter through the gaps in the weave. The open texture of the rattan creates a layered lighting effect suited to a range of fittings, as the shade is supplied with a reversible gimbal allowing use as both a table and pendant shade.
