The 30cm straight empire lamp shade combines a hand-painted card construction with a straight-sided silhouette that distributes light evenly across a wider area. Each shade carries its own unique finish, with slight variations in the gold paintwork producing a naturally mottled appearance. The card base keeps the structure light while holding the painted surface well, and the straight empire form suits a range of pendant and table lamp fittings.
We love our hand painted shades. Each one is unique, and somehow the little imperfections in the paint work, and the slightly mottled look, add to the...well... perfection. Achingly simple, and in no way showy or brash, these gorgeous shades will feel at home in almost any environment.
